      The seasons on Hilton Head Island - What to expect for weather and climate conditions when vacationing Hilton Head.

January and February
Cool nights, a few cold and rainy days, but mostly clear days 40's-60's with lows on the 30's-40's range.

March and April
Mostly nice with a few full day showers. Days are in the 50's-60's, nights 40's-50's range. Sand fleas are starting to appear, but the weather is very nice for most activities. This is the time Hilton Head Island comes alive with colors and fragrance.

May and June
Hot days, warm to hot nights. Humidity getting very noticeable with 70's-90's days and 60's-80's nights. Late evening thunderstorms start towards end of May. Thunderstorms usually last less than a few hours, but can have much lightning.

July and August
Hot and humid days with hot nights. Highs 90's, lows 70-80's, frequent late afternoon and evening popcorn thunderstorms, usually lasting less than an hour, but packing much lightning and rain. Quite beautiful after the storms.

September and October
Hot days, warm to hot nights but comfortable with the cool ocean breeze. Highs 80's-90's with lows of 70's-80's but starting to cool down in October. Many clear and beautiful days and nights.

November and December
Cool to warm days, cool nights. Highs 50's-70's and lows 40's-55's. A few rainy days and cold nights, but mostly sweater weather. Many Decembers have good beach weather even around Christmas time.
